I try to limit the amount of film I shoot these days. It is getting increasingly expensive to get it develop and I am really addicted to seeing the final product. At least, it is a healthier habit than drugs. On this occasion, I was afforded the opportunity to visit the Asahi Brewery in Kanagawa, Japan.
The lobby had a modern minimalist feel and I enjoyed the silence before fellow tourists filled the turquoise cushions.
Within the lobby, they had displays of how they contribute to the surrounding nature. They explained what kind of trees were growing in the vicinity and the wildlife that roams about. I sat patiently and waited for my tour to begin.
The Asahi lobby was really serene and I throughly enjoyed the time there.
Leading up to the beginning of the tour. You take a really steep escalator, that is filled with no photography signs. Once you reach the top this is the first view you get. I asked my tour guide if I could take pictures and she obliged my request.
For most of the tour, I was lost on what was being presented. I tried to pay attention but I was so intrigued with the layout of the brewery that I kind of gave up.
The tour guide was really sweet and even tried making some jokes in English. I thought it was a good attempt on her part. The tour ended with everybody being allowed to drink three beers in 20 minutes. It was a bit challenging to drink three well-poured drinks. I managed to barely finish and asked the tour guide for a picture. She was really cool about it. *Tip learn Japanese because it really goes a long way.
